Hello And Welcome Back!We hope the resources on this site will lead you towards a healthy natural lifestyle.
There is conflicting information about Echinacea in the media and amongst the scientific community. According to a recent study by the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM), Echinacea is found to have two very different health benefits. The roots of Echinacea, when harvested in the fall, yield alkylamides that can quickly reduce the duration and severity of colds and respiratory problems. The flowering tops, when harvested in the spring, release polysaccarides that stimulate and boost the immune system on an ongoing basis.

Thanks for the video…. what part of the herb can be harvested for benefits. Can you use the flowers / leaves? or do you have to use the root. I just started planting some and I have limited space so it would be nice not to have to go for the roots every time… thx
